The University of Salerno ( UniSa ) agrees to the International Sustainable Campus Network ( ISCN )
The International Network of Campus Sostenibilo ( ISCN ) is a global forum supportng major colleges, universities and corporate campuses for the exchange of information, ideas and best practices to achieve the goals of sustainable campus and the integration of sustainability in research and teaching .
In 2009 , he collaborated with GULF ISCN , an initiative of the World Economic Forum bringing together the heads of the 26 best universities in the world, to develop the "Charter for Sustainable Campus ", which contains the sustainability of the campus in 3 basic principles , requires a commitment to the highest level of institutions and provides an annual report on sustainability objectives , initiatives and performance .
There are the members of the main colelge and universities from 14 countries in America, Europe , Asia, Africa and Australia.
The University of Salerno is happy to agree to ISCN which allows it to participate in an exchange between the global leader in campus sustainability and further development of best practices.
"This is one of many efforts UNISA to become the first in Italy and the main Ecocampus through benchmarking with other universities in ISCN ," said the delegate of the Rector for UniSa policies for sustainability and efficiency energentica , Professor Lucio Ippolito .
